For me, that choice was among the many things wrong with those two movies.
But his fears are conveyed secondhand, through Hagrids words and Harrys observations.
Some aspects of the plot, and character wouldnt make sense otherwise.

And yet, theDeathly Hallowsfilms include most of the payoffs anyway.

Take Rons oldest brothers, for example.
Charlie gets mentioned once or twice, but Bill is nonexistent.

When did he and Fleur hook up?
Why are Harry and his friends putting off the search for the Horcruxes on their account?
And then theres Dobby (Toby Jones).

AfterHarry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the house-elf appears in all but one of the books.
He only appears in one film afterChamber of Secrets.
ButDeathly Hallows: Part Ibrings Dobby back and never acknowledges his long absence.
And his death is supposed to be the emotional (and literal) conclusion of the movie.
It just doesnt work.
Some fans would have preferred all the build-up for these elements have never been cut at all.
I cant say I agree.
Whether all these cuts were a good idea or not they still happened.
Instead of pretending they didnt, adjustments could and should have been made.
Ditch Bill and Fleur and their wedding and get straight to the Horcrux hunt.
Have Harry and the Weasleys hide somewhere that didnt get torched in the last film after Harrys birthday.
Dont worry about Lupin and Tonkss romance, theres enough of that with the main characters.
Would some of those have been difficult adjustments?
But thats how the adaptation process goes in an ongoing series.
