The Apple TV+ series feels like a soft reboot of its previously fractured self.
How did it feel to figure out where you guys fit in as actors and characters?
FREIDA PINTO: For Grace, shes such an outsider that there is no way to fit in.
So, it was very freeing and fun as well.
How was it to figure out where he fit into the story?
PHIL DUNSTER: It was really fun.

She was good at giving you scaffolding, and you could build the house around it.
Do you guys always get nervous anytime you start a new project?
PINTO: For me, every project is nerve-wracking.

It doesnt matter how many projects Ive done.
That was also very nerve-wracking for me.
I dont like not being busy.
For me, the start of the day is always a bit nerve-wracking.
So, its not really project-based, its day-based.
Maybe thats not nervousness.

Maybe thats just lack of control for actors.
PINTO: I have this very funny anecdote.
My third film was this Woody Allen movie and it had this incredible cast.
That was such a moment of, Okay, its okay to feel the nerves.
Its actually important to feel the nerves because you dont get complacent when you do that.
DUNSTER: Thats such a bleak insight that even Anthony Hopkins still gets nervous.
Quinn Huntley is the total opposite of Jamie Tartt.
DUNSTER: I tried not to make him a caricature.
I didnt want him to live in a vacuum.
He lived in and amongst these people.
He is who he is because of these people.
It also extends into the relationship between Quinn and Grace.
He is an individual within that, but then this is a couple within that same world.
Freida, how did that shape how you viewed their relationship?
PINTO: I think it really helps being Indian.
It is almost daunting for her to not get answers when she senses something is not quite right.
Even with this man shes going to marry, something doesnt feel quite right.
Its complicated for Grace.
The Apple TV+ thriller returns to the streamer on February 21.
What did you guys most enjoy about having each other there to work off of?
Did you guys have any particularly memorable or stand-out moments together?
No disrespect to any of the Surface family, but thats probably my highlight.
[Her] child is probably the cutest, most gorgeous child out in the world.
Sorry to my nieces.
PINTO: Aw, thank you.
DUNSTER: I didnt want to say it, but that was my highlight.
PINTO: Its the inbetween moments.
Its more about finding solace in each others stories as well.
DUNSTER:Something that I found really inspiring with Freida and with Gugu is how industrious they are.
Theyre not just actors.
Freida has their own production company and learning about that was so brilliant and inspiring for me.
And I would say it depends on what actors youre talking to, in terms of complaining.
PINTO: I didnt find our relationship to be the complaining kind.
DUNSTER: I feel like theres still a lot.
Thats a really exciting thing about the ending of Season 2.
We dont quite know the ramifications of their decisions, which I love. Its not wholly dissatisfying.
Its just that theres one last stone left unturned.
For Grace, I would say the same.
