But that number dwindles severely as far as marriage longevity, with only 12 couples still married.

But is that the actual goal?

For Michael, he was raised by his aunt and cousin after his mother passed.

With essentially nothing in common, their lack of chemistry was the least of their worries.

Alyssa came toMAFStrying to work through previous heartbreak.

Chris had experience of back-to-back long-term relationships that have strung along since high school.

While this season was completely unsuccessful, they were the weakest of the bunch.

It may take two to tango, but Alyssa was almost unwilling to participate from the jump.

But really, were they ever going to make it?

She was one tough cookie, but his bossy demeanor was simply uncalled for.

It took her some time, butBeth eventually accused her ex of physical violence.

After four years of marriage, the pair had, what Beth called a costly divorce.

But, thankfully, it’s over now.

7Brandon Reid and Taylor Dunklin

Brandon ReidandTaylor Dunklinhad a relationship that was essentially sour from the start.

The two ultimately had restraining orders against one another.

Such was the case for Season 9’sAmber BowlesandMatt Gwynne.

We can absolutely confirm that Matt is anything but perfect.

In fact, he was absolutely and unreasonably terrible.

He demanded that she not change for him because he was simply never going to change his ways.

Having a history of abandonment issues, Amber was essentially distraught when she believed Matt was cheating on her.

Amber, and her new husband,Kevin Laltoowelcomed a son in August of 2024.

There are just certain things you keep to yourself, and that was one of them.

While we may respect his honesty, Luke simply lacked tact.

But as a reminder, Kate was anything but innocent.

She accused her new husband, perhaps due to his distaste for her, to be gay.

Their tragic love story was filled with awful allegations and gaslighting.

Did she have any other choice?

Sex does not make a marriage.

Married at First Sight

It caused him to even be hesitant to even want to move in with her.

The incident did bring the pair closer, but it sadly was not close enough.

By the reunion, all the truths came out.

She claimed he continually manipulated her.

He felt she was just too immature.

The two decided to divorce on Decision Day, even if she was his “dream girl.”

Zach was indifferent about literally everything, causing nothing but headaches.

Mindy felt she was essentially being friend-zoned, and rightly so.

He preferred a friendship as he was just not into her.

Literally, his lack of physical attraction caused the pair to drift apart, ultimately leading to their divorce.

Zach was unwilling to put much work in.

They should have just ended the experiment early on rather than dragging it along.

A terrible match?

The experts should be called out for this poor pairing.

No, opposites absolutely do not attract.

Could they have been intentionally sabotaged and set up for drama?

Based on how things ended, it seems more than likely.

They were confrontational with their need and desire to hurl low blows.

Season 12

They were producer plants, right?

They could not be real!How they were matched up is still perplexing.

They essentially overshadowed every other couple in the cast because they were such a disaster.
