Ritchson, whos known for doing his own stunts,pushed hard to performthe scene himself.
This, as it turned out, would be a mistake.
The whole point is you just watch Reacher get ragdolled for five minutes straight, he said.
I wanted the audience to know that Im doing this for us.
Im taking one for Reacher.
The result ended up being one hell of a shotandone terrifying moment behind the scenes.
And even worse for him, his kids just happened to be on set that day.
And I woke up a day and a half later.
It was a hoot.

Just maybe keep a pillow handy if youre watching that finale again.
