What was it like to shoot that moment between Tommy and Ellie?
How would you describe their relationship in Season 2?
GABRIEL LUNA: Oh, man, hes just so proud to see Ellie grow, as a person.

Hes eight years old, but he hit two dingers, back to back.
Youve got to celebrate that.
Youve got to celebrate the prowess.
Season 2 finds beautiful ways to update what might very well be the best video game narrative ever told.
Rutina, we get the sense that Maria has grown as a leader in the last five years.
Maybe shes a little more empathetic and compassionate.
How can we help those people?
Benji, our son, brought this light back to Maria.
To me,Maria feels a little lighter than she did in Season 1.

LUNA: I think were also succeeding in our duties to keep this place safe.
But I think Benji is her top priority, for sure.
LUNA: I love the way the trailer is structured.
We have this beautiful, secluded enclave.
Weve got to double-check that no monsters get to our door.
How prepared are these characters for whats coming this season?

Do they think theyre better prepared than they actually are?
WESLEY: Thats actually a great question.
They have things in place, but I think anything can happen.

We never know if those plans are going to work.
LUNA: Thats really aptly put.
Were ready for anything.

Its our job to be.
But only time will tell.
Ramsey also talks about the frustration and distance Ellie is experiencing when it comes to Joel.
Thats the motherly thing to do.
Shes like, Seth, youre drunk.
And not only that, were going for a walk and were gonna talk.
LUNA: She accurately identifies the problem and removes the problem.
Theres some other stuff to be hashed out.
Its really just a lot of miscommunication and a lot of missed opportunities for connection.
But prior to that, its a gorgeous moment.
I was blushing [watching it].
We all know that there are things coming this season that are going to tear our hearts out.
How do you think people will feel after they watch the last episode of this season?
LUNA: Oh, I dont know.
Were several weeks away from that and I wouldnt want to put words in people’s mouths.
We dont all know what exactly is going to happen.
We have to let it all play out in due time.
WESLEY: Itll be an array of emotions.
Itll be a lot.
