Malvado Meets a Disappointing Fate

Malvado’s death in Season 7is incredibly disappointing.

Malvado eluded capture by Nolan and the LAPD earlier in the season.

The subplot involves Malvado performing clean-up work for a scheme involvinga dark web hitman hiring service.

To bring Malvado back this way and then have him get taken out in just one scene is unacceptable.

“Down the road, for sure.”

Later, the couple patch things up, but the show subsequently ignoresBailey’s criminal actions.

The return of Malvado provided a potential opportunity toforce Bailey and Nolan to confront their actions.

That would have made an incredibly dramatic, compelling storyline.

The issue of Bailey’s texts to Malvado might resurface later, but it seems unlikely.

The resolution presentsa missed opportunity for significant dramatic tension involving Nolan and Bailey.

Unfortunately, Jason’s return proved uneventful, brief, and anti-climactic, withMalvado quickly finding and executing him.

The same technique is repeated with Malvado,a far more fascinating villain and antagonist for the Mid-Wilshire Division.

Here was a proficient hitman who avoided capture for years.

He’sanother character expected to return this season.

Not to mention, Monica and Oscar have remained fugitives at large formost of the season.

Their returns warrant bigger storylines and episodes.
