Snape tells the old wizard: Youve kept him alive so that he can die at the proper moment.

Youve been raising him like a pig for slaughter!

Dumbledore does not deny these accusations, which doesnt help his case.

However, they do remain in this Limbo place for a lot longer than they do in the movie.

But sadly… his way of seeing the light came at a bitter cost.

In his old age, Dumbledore harbored an air of melancholy.

Curiously, it wasnt out of hate, but out of love.Dumbledore was in love with Grindelwald.

Dumbledore’s feelings were not reciprocated, however, for Grindelwald merely valued Dumbledore’s magical talents.

His tragic past also spurred a strong and unchangeable belief in his mind that love will always win.

Dumbledore believed that friendship, unity, connection, and love are powers far greater than any magic spell.

It was not in Harrys nature to let anybody raise him like a pig for slaughter.
