And thats what inevitably happens at the end ofE.T.
the Extra-Terrestrial; the alien has to leave.
Its both happy and heartbreaking.
But theres nothing corny about the ending, in execution, ofIts a Wonderful Life.
It feels like the perfect way to end the second installment of a trilogy, in effect.
Psychological turmoil and immense amounts of stress ensue.
Theres no need to.
Everyone knows they live happily ever after, andthey more than earned that ending.
