Does Emily know any French?
Does she seem to want to learn French?
The lack of logic makes it one of themost popular critically-panned shows.
LikeSex and the City,this may be charming at times and frustrating at others.
Emily claims to be growing and being okay with the grey area after sleeping with Gabriel on the roof.
However, later in the episode, Emily reports Sofias illegal stay in the apartment to the landlady.
This constant lack of growth createsa cycle of dramathat Emily manifests in her relationships.
Of course, the argument is that this is necessary for the content purposes of the show.
Madeline ends up booking two tickets for Emily and her to return to Chicago.
When Emily decides to stay in Paris, Madeline gives her a big hug and an absence of disappointment.
Instead of being disappointed and upset with Emily, Madeline doesnt give Emily a hard time.
Also, Alfie is in Paris and is now Antoines CFO.
This unreliability in theEmily in Parischaracters personalities has aggravated viewers.
At this point, Alfie breaks up with Emily.
Lastly, Camille is missing, and no one knows where she is.
ThisEmily in Parisepisode does itself no favors by having Emily think she did nothing wrong.
Emilys self-centered behavior is obvious in this episode.
Alfie is currently her boyfriend, about to leave for London, and having a going-away party.

Madeline discovers them, her water breaks, and Sylvie fires Emily on the spot.
The conflict between Madeline and Sylvie seems garrish in the context of Paris.
Moreover, Emilys continuous disregard for others, poor decisions, and self-involvement make this episode hard to watch.

5"Do You Know the Way to St. Camille and Mindy join her, and they are all on a girls' trip.
An important note is that Emily has slept with Gabriel and is doing this because she feels guilty.
Emily also discovers that Sylvie is married to the club manager.

For some reason, Emily only now discovers that the French do not work on the weekends.
The entire episode leaves viewers with a bad taste in their mouths.
Emily’s constant lack of cultural awareness makes the episode even harder to watch.

Another season opener, another can of worms.
Emily is dealing with the repercussions of sleeping with Gabriel, who she thought was leaving Paris.

Camille is growing suspicious and asks questions while Emily stumbles through her lies.
By doing so, she makes the whole situation more complicated and messy.
The bold-faced lies to Camille and her boss, Sylive, make Emily difficult to watch in this episode.

3"Lost in Translation?"
Emily has broken up with Gabriel (again), her on-again-off-again-on-again-off-again boyfriend.
Also, Camille reveals to Gabriel that she is not pregnant but convinces him to see a priest.

Even though Gabriel and Camille are not together, Camille thinks this would be a great idea.
The only good thing about this episode is Sylvie.
We discover that four seasons in, Emily will still insert herself into situations she probably shouldnt.

Despite this, Emily believes she must lead the way to finding her.
Moreover, she accidentally reveals to Gabriel that Camille was having a secret relationship with Sofia.
Despite their argument, Camille confesses that she didnt want to marry Gabriel.

Camille now knows Emily has betrayed her and slept with Gabriel.
Unsurprisingly, Camille wants nothing to do with Emily, but Emily insists she has to do something.

Lets face it: the people-pleaser in all of us could probably relate.
But this isnt the reason for the bad rating.
Long story short, Emily is coerced by Petra to shoplift.
This plotline caused a huge stir in the Ukrainian community about the shows poor representation of Ukrainian people.
The Ukrainian culture minister even spoke out against the show and called it insulting, according toThe Washington Post.
