Grateful that we’ve managed to survive through all of our adventures.

This slow burn and steady unspooling of mysteries is then brought to a halt bya notoriously abrupt ending.

Her final word, “f**k,” cuts to black, leaving many viewers bewildered.

Its a secluded community created by modern-day people who chose to isolate themselves from society.

The entire horror element is an elaborate deception to keep the villagers from leaving.

The twist inThe Sixth Sensefelt earned, butthe one inThe Villageis just a gimmick.

It’s all pretty meh.

3’I Am Legend' (2007)

“I can save you.

I can save everybody.

All this promise issquandered by the somewhat nonsensical ending, though.

However, theCoen brothersbrilliantly defy audience expectations by never delivering the grand showdown.

All this sound and fury ratchets up until, in the final act, the aliens simply… die.
