Plenty of comedies work because they’re feel-good affairs.
But then there are other comedic films that prove challenging in one or more ways.
Well, an exceptionally dark one.

La Dolce Vitais about excess, and the breathless/constant partying eventually proves numbing to watch, by design.
The exhaustion here isnt just intentional, it pretty much is the point.
This also makesMan Bites Doga mockumentary/found footage kind of film, and a decidedly unique one, too.

But if you dont mind your comedy being uncomfortable and cringe-inducing, thenShiva Babyis remarkable and often hilarious stuff.
Its not a nice or even desirable kind of humor, but its there.
