Filmmaking is a team effort. (though, to be honest, he could probably do those jobs incredibly well). Sometimes, especially when it comes with a larger budget, its more of a compromise with a studio. But its still funneled through that directors vision for what that movie should be. Justice League, Warner Bros. $300 million superhero team-up, is a curious case. Its the product of two directors, and yet neither of them at all....
That was well beneath predictions of $110 million and the lowest opening weekend of any DCEU movie. From a business standpoint, it makes sense for Warner Bros. to try and offer something bigger. Would individual Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg films have been successful had they been released beforeJustice League? Its impossible to know, but at least it would have given each character a chance to shine. For those unfamiliar with the story from the comics, basically Barry Allen wakes up and everything is different....
But you may be asking, how is almost $100 million a disappointment? It only made $7 million less thanWonder Woman, and that movie is considered a smashing success. Wont it have legs?
