‘The Weight of Water’
Theres no mistaking what Bigelow saw in this movie.
‘Blue Steel’
Bigelow has only focused primarily on female characters in three movies.
If nothing else, she provides a kinetic backdrop to showcase Curtis at her most dedicated and physically tested.
You never quite get your bearings fully inDetroit, and perhaps thats for the best in these particular circumstances.

If she were to make another horror movie, this would prove to be a tough act to follow.
And much likeClint Eastwood, she took the subject matter with gusto.
‘Point Break’
Point Breakis my favorite action film of the 1990s by a country mile.
Shes accomplished something incredibly important, but it doesnt feel important in that moment.
Its happened and evaporated.
