It’s the biggestStar Warsweekend of the year, as theStar Wars Celebrationconvention has taken over Tokyo, Japan.
Many of Lucasfilm’s top creatives are there, including chief creative officerDave Filoni.
He spoke about his upcomingStar Warsfilm with Collider’sSteve Weintraub.
He told Collider:
“It’s a long development.
What are unique set pieces, and where is the story going?
What’s the play of the story?'
I ask myself these questions.
I have general outlines for all these things, general timelines for all these things.
I keep moving the pieces on the board for a big strategy.
You keep that in your mind in the future while you’re working on the present.
As Filoni also shared with Collider,Ahsoka’s second season will begin filming next week.
What Other Star Wars Projects Has Dave Filoni Worked On?
An experienced animator, Filoni was hired byGeorge Lucasto develop theStar Wars: The Clone WarsTV series and movie.
He made his jump to live-action withThe Mandalorian, writing and directing a number of episodes.
He is also co-writing the script forThe Mandalorian and Grogu, which will hit theaters next summer.
Filoni is also an occasional voice actor.
