Landon’s angleleaned heavily into the “body horror” angleand featured another plot beyond the spider invasion.

I wasnt willing to compromise on that.

I wasnt going to make a change that really felt like a soul-crushing, sell-out, bad change.

From there, the spider invasion would take place and “all hell breaks loose.”

“It was brutal,” he added.

I wrote something I felt was very plot-driven," he said.

“I had much bigger set pieces than the original.

It was definitely a more expensive movie.

That was another thing I think that made everybody a little bit nervous.

There’s no word on what the future holds for Amblin’sArachnophobiaremake.

In the meantime, Landon’sDrophits theaters this Friday.
