I often enjoy most of the so-called bad ones simply because they can be quite fun and unintentionally hilarious.

The following are ten notorious films that I believe give the horror genre a bad name.

They’re difficult to defend, even as so-bad-they’re-good classics.

Predator: Requiemis by all means a complete mess, lacking anything resembling a decent story.

Everything went wrong withthis poorly directed disaster.

It’s unfocused, makes no sense, has underwhelming writing, and the dialog is cringeworthy.

Why does so much of the film have to take place in dark places or at night?

But in the end, he’s the only bright spot in the middle of this dark abyss.

Hardly any, as low asFriday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan.

It’spoorly written and paced, and features a bizarre, rushed conclusionthat is infuriating to see.

Least of all the ones that are truly perfect.

1998’sPsycho, for instance, is honestly the most notorious remake, period.

It was a lackluster attempt that had me fully appreciate Hitchcock’s superior version after watching it.

This one immediately lost my attention after the first twenty minutes of following characters I didn’t care about.

It only got worse when that zombie fisherman appeared, and things only went further downhill from there.

It’s always exciting to watch this classic every year in October, especially on the holiday.

It’s a suspenseful masterpiece that has moments that still give me and surely others nightmares.

ButTruth or Dareis justa dull, uninspired horror flick full of overdone tropes andterrible character decisions.

The shockingly bleak ending, in particular, had me fuming at just how terrible and unnecessary it is.

After finally seeing it months later, I realized this one really never lived up to that hype.

The Devil Insideis massively underwhelming, much more than what most people, even I, expected.

If it wasn’t for the nice marketing, this could have easily slipped under the radar.

It was an absolute blast!

This movie is just plain embarrassing.

I mean, seriously, why?

Butthis last film is one I still wish I had never sat through.

And just likeThe Devil Inside, it has another abysmal ending that ultimately leads to nothing.

I simply cannot defend this one.
