Perhaps the Master Emerald provides themwith a miniature atmosphere and protective layer.
The movie simply does not outwardly showthe Emerald’s power functioning in this single instance.

It makes for a very compelling and profound scenewhere the two enemies finally find common ground.
The moon makes for a striking setting and environment for their confrontation.
Nevertheless, it’s weird how Sonic and Shadow still breathe and talk in space without a proper explanation.
It simply happens because the film demands it, which is a little dumb when you think about it.
Arguably, directorJeff Fowlersimply translates ideas from the games intothe live-action movies.
The movies appear to have incorporated video game logic into the narrative.
It still does not ruin the overall enjoyment or quality of the movie.
Ultimately, fans can watchSonic the Hedgehog 3and decide for themselves how this strange ability works.
