Gabriel Machtis, without a doubt, a curious and dynamic actor.
One, though, stands above the rest.

Needless to say, storywise,The Spiritis a curious ride from start to finish.
The plot is constantly moving and jumping to different characters in different situations with little context given.
Which is a great shame because there are some elements of a superb film in there somewhere.
The cinematography fromBill Popeis glorious, effectively capturing the shadow-like cartoonishness of Central City inMiller’s distinctive style.
Apparently, it IS Morbin' time.
Heleans into the stylized melodrama required for the rolein sucha pulpy, noir-esque film.
Does that make it not worth watching?
Not in the slightest.
Perhaps, Macht will return to making movies soon.
