There is no denying thatClint Eastwoodis the master of the Spaghetti Western.
Evenwhen he was still onRawhide, there was something about this cowboy that couldn’t quite be beat.
After Harmonica hops off a train, he meets these three outlaws, despite expectingto meetHenry Fonda’s Frank.

Snaky replies that they’re shy of just one, and then things get heated.
“You brought two too many,” Harmonica replies coolybefore opening fire on the three gunslingers.
So much power in such a short amount of time.

It would be one thing if Harmonica threatened these goons straight-up.
It’s a brilliant scene, and clearly sets the stage for the rest of the picture.
It emphasizes the lines of violence that many of the characters are willing to cross.
(Ironically,Jack Elam appeared on the Western programon over a dozen occasions.)
However, none of these lines are as cool or as delicately threatening as Bronson’s words are here.
Considering what follows, he certainly lives up to them.
Whether Sergio Leone himself or his co-writerSergio Donatipenned these words, we cannot be sure.
We only know that Bronson is the lucky actor to have uttered them.
