Chef Tom didn’t come on board in the best frame of mind and was easily irritated.

But her management skill and interpersonal relationship tactics seem to shift on a dime, season after season.
Her disdain for certain individuals she deems below her becomes evident in how she treats them.
When she sees another female deckhand aspiring to be a ship captain, she takes them under her wing.
And then thinks they immediately become buddies.
