The role of Lori could not be further from that of Sinatra inParadise.

Her purpose is based around trying to keep her family (and Mare) safe.

Nicholson’s performance helps ground the storytelling, while also creating an emotional backbonethat lends the series authenticity.

Because Lori has known Mare since they were both kids, there is a comfortableness that exists between them.

Both women turn in understated, yet powerful performances that make the series a must-see.
