There’s kind of a vetting process, and it was, Are you in or are you out?
So, we knew on day one, everyone who showed up, what we were committing to.
We had complete trust in Ray and Alex to guide that ship.

WILL POULTER: That’s interesting.
Speaking of that, you went into some pretty intense training so you can make all this happen.
Will, there’s a quote I pulled from you from our press notes about that.
POULTER: Oh, thats a good question.
MELTON: It’s a great question.
POULTER: Its sort of different for everybody.
DPHARAOH WOON-A-TAI: Right.
We didn’t just wait.
We didn’t leave anybody behind.
That kind of immense support that you have with each other is great.
Will had many weaknesses…
POULTER: I do have a lot of weaknesses.
Im a weak person.
I dont believe it!
MELTON: [Laughs] No!
Thats absolutely not true.
I was often blown away by his performance.
Also, Taylor is the most uncomplaining dude.
He inadvertently injured himself and quite literally broke down a wall.
So, Cosmo Jarvis and Joseph Quinn really were… Itfeedsthe feeling of what was happening in that moment.
Turning it towards yourselves now, there’s one thing that I keep thinking about.
MELTON: The whole process, really, I think we were pretty locked in.
It’s a really good question that you asked.
No, there was no time.
So it all worked because it’s a very human, authentic experience.
Is there any particular part of makingWarfarethat you wish more sets would embrace?
MELTON: Will Poulter and the attitude everyone had on the set.
POULTER: Time with the cast.
Time spent with each other is so amazing in terms of representing authentic relationships and interpersonal dynamics.
