Aragorn’s ancestors were among the Faithful, becoming the Lords of Andunie in the West of Numenor.
While Amandil disappeared, many of the Faithful survived, including his son.

His bloodline also formed the Dunedain, which Aragorn leads as Elendil’s descendant.

It is also because he is Isildur’s heir thatAragorn can lead the Army of the Dead.
Though he took the Ring from Sauron, it is not one of the heirlooms passed to Aragorn.

As Chieftain of the Dunedain, Arathorn was raisedin Rivendell with Elrond.
He fell in love with Gilraen, but her father opposed the union.
Aragorn helped defeat Sauron and reunited Gondor and Arnor,bringing his people into the Fourth Age.
