It was impossible to hear that and not think of 2004’sAlien vs.
There’s apparently more to the Xenomorph vs. Yautja story than we’ve been told.
Instead of going back to the 1700s like inPrey,Predator: Badlandsis set in the future.

Is ‘Predator: Badlands’ an ‘Alien vs.
The bestAVPwill be the one that you dont know isAVPuntil the other guy shows up.

Let’s hope thatPredator: Badlandsdoes tie intoAlien vs. Predatorin some way.
That first film was flawed but fun.
Predator: Requiemwas universally hated.
Still, it’s a fun world worth exploring and getting right, rather than winking at likePredator 2did.
Everyone had high hopes forAVP, and it was only a failure in filmmaking that let us down.
