It’s very possible to make superhero origin story movies work, just not like this.

Nevertheless, it’sa campy and enjoyable kind of disasterin many ways.
Nevertheless,Mystery Menis a remarkably entertaining one.
That “something” is definitely not the special effects, which are pretty awful.
It’s not even the humor, which barely ever lands and is often more cringeworthy than funny.
For everyone else, it kind of is stillan obligatory watch, too.
