Plenty of films have started out in relative obscurity but gained momentum organically asviewers eagerly recommended it to others.

When people are comparing your movie unfavorably toDragonball Evolution, you know you’ve made a serious mistake.
When it finallydidcome out, the critical floodgates opened, with almost every reviewer ripping it to shreds.

The film’s lame depiction of bending was also soon widely mocked.
With less impactful marketing to combatthe more negative reviews,The Marvelsquickly developed a reputation for being mediocre.
This probably caused many theatergoers to stay away, with the result that the film failed to break even.
This was the worst drop for a superhero movie ever.
Clearly, fans were disappointed and spread the word to friends.

This, combined with the fact that the movieisadmittedly hate-able, causedGiglito be a massive box office bomb.
The reimagining ofSnow Whiteisn’t out yet, but the word of mouth around it is already very negative.
In particular, some reviewers have banned its treatment of transgender themes.
Right now, its Oscar hopes appear to be dashed.
Unsurprisingly,Jack and Jillwas panned across the board (though it still made a decent profit).
Within weeks, it had become a punchline and a byword for bad cinema.
There were literal errors in the original release, including characters with the wrong number of fingers.
Unsurprisingly, the condemnation from critics and audiences was swift and fiery.
Soon, the movie was more well-known for being awful than for anything else.
