Sometimes,a twist is the best part of a feature film.

Some movies areeven improved by their plot twists, making them better in the long run.

However, there are also movie twists that don’t do much benefit to the feature.

However, the big twist connects this installment to the first movie,Batman Begins.

It’s not bad, just underwhelming.

One student, Lucinda, hears voices and writes a series of numbers on a paper.

That twist is underwhelming and slightly disappointing sincethe mystery completely goes away halfway through the movie.

Cage is great, but he’soften better than the movies he’s in.

Since Clyde is in solitary confinement, it’s not clear how he commits all the vengeance-filled crimes.

He spends his days leading tours around Plymouth Island until his ex-wife, Karen (Hathaway), appears.

Karen and Baker have a young son, Patrick, but Karen has remarried.

Baker is torn between his past coming back and Karen’s request.

The twist that no one would expect here is thatBaker isactually a video game character.

Baker, in real life, is former Marine John Mason, who died in Iraq in 2006.

Patrick created the game to plot Frank’s murder, making his father the main character.

Like most of King’s stories, it’s about a tormented writer having trouble starting a new book.

Subtle signs lead to the twist thatShooter is actually Mort’s other personality.

Though this isn’t a bad twist,the movie loses all momentum after the reveal.

How terrible of them.

The visual style ofSavagesmakes it slick, polished, and even beautiful.

Night Shyamalan’s efforts underwhelming after the twist, but he’s consistent in making movies he finds entertaining.

This integrity in filmmaking will occasionally receive widespread understanding and acclaim, like withThe VisitorSigns.

However, the main twist reveals that the village actually exists in the 21st century.
