Those who love cinema and film criticism should be more than familiar enough withRoger EbertandGene Siskel.
But any good show requires drama, and as it happens,Siskel & Eberthad plenty of it.
Sometimes, those disagreements made for some really solid entertainment.

Though the Academy seemed to disagree, one can see where they’re coming from.
Of course, such a cultural phenomenon couldn’t go without aSiskel & Ebertreview.
Time has definitely sided with Ebert much more so than with Siskel on this one.

Siskel, on the other hand, would beg to differ.
Ebert, on the other hand, thought it was pretty good for what it was trying to achieve.
As it happens, Ebert and Siskel couldn’t seem to agree on it.
Ebert wasone of the people who pushed this consensus, while Siskel fought against it.
Although history has sided with Ebert, it’s not impossible to see where Siskel is coming from.
Siskel, while agreeing with Ebert that the script had no surprises, didn’t mind nearly as much.
Siskel, on the other hand, said he “didn’t like the movie at all.”
These victories must have surely made Roger Ebert quite happy.
Siskel, not so much.
However,Blue Velvetwas one that the duo disagreed on.
