For someBelow Deckstars, being fired was a tough pill to swallow.

Especially when they might not have entirely deserved it.

Even between Season 1 and Season 2, it had a completely different feel.

Andrew Sturby was truly a unique character.

He was silly, goofy, and fun, but when it came to being a deckhand?

There was a curiosity as to how he managed to sneak his way into his position.

This was a luxury yacht that required first-class service.

With Andrew being more of a liability, Captain Lee was forced to give him a plane ticket home.

No matter what iteration ofBelow Deckwe’re watching, mistakes can happen and will happen.

She had to be re-taught how to perform some of the basic skills of a deckhand.

Emma sure did not.

She ended her conversation early with Captain Glenn, something he did not take too kindly to.

She did take to Instagram to reveal thatwhat was shown wasnot the entirety of how it went down.

Sometimes timing is everything.

Season 5 did improve with the casting swap, but Emma Crouch’s dismissal was not the fairest.

Oftentimes, a review of their work is solely put on the backs of the charter guests.

Such was the case ofSeason 11’s Chef Anthony Iracane.

Chef Anthony was almost universally beloved by the crew.

His relationship withChief Stew Fraser Olenderwas sweet.

It’s never fair to place a low tip in the hands of one singular individual.

No one wanted to see Chef Anthony leave, but there were already too many strikes against him.

Season 4 ofBelow Deck Mediterraneanis easily one of the most memorable to date.

To set the scene, the charter season began withChef Mila Kolomeitseva in the galley.

And she was a complete and utter disaster.

‘Below Deck Mediterranean’s June Foster.

It just so happened that 3rd StewAnasasia Surmava had experiencein the department.

She was temporarily promoted to Chef, and so June Foster was hired to fill her spot.

And so, June was fired.

Here’s the thing, June was not perfect by any stretch of the imagination.

She did what she was hired to do.

It happened so frequently, the quote became viral.

June really didn’t deserve to go.

And some of her friends on board agreed.

Such was the case withTom Pearson.

Tom Pearson was a lot.

He was not everyone’s cup of tea, but he was driven.

He was determined to show that he was worthy of working on a luxury vessel.

At first, Tom proved that he was there to party, making a poor first impression.

Especially on Captain Glenn Shephard, with whom he shared a cabin with.

It also marked the final season for Captain Lee Rosbach.

‘Below Deck Down Under 2’s Adam Kodra.

And who better thanto step in than Captain Sandy Yawn.

As the new Chief Stew, Fraser was highly stressed and eager to make a lasting impression.

They had so much in common, but their management style was just not at the same level.

Prior to her arrival, Fraser was having immense issueshandling the drama Alissa HumberandCamille Lambcaused.

Camille was a deck-stew, but was forced to the interior often.

Something she did not like.

To keep the peace, Camille was let go, much to the dismay ofher boatmance, Ben Willoughby.

As much as Fraser got on with her, he could not save her from herself.

But, alas, clashing with Captain Sandy is never a good idea.

Leading the interior team was Chief StewFrancesca Rubi.

She was having fun in the sun.

But all charter season long, she continued to butt heads with her superior.

Reality TV

While that’s not an uncommon occurrence onBelow Deck, it’s necessary to get permission to do so.

Thankfully, there were some truly genuine individuals who made up for it on deck.

The deckhand tag team ofAdam KodraandHarry Van Vlietseemed like it was about to lead to our next favorite bromance.

Below Deck

He became a central figure in the drama surrounding Laura Bileskalne and her sexual advances towards him.

Adam made an error with an anchor drop that he took personally, blaming others for his mistake.

In a season that featured multiple cast changes, Adam’s departure hurt the most.

Especially when Bugsy’s bestieMalia Whitewas in charge of the deck team.

During that season, Malia was dating an acclaimed chef namedTom Checketts.

So how does Chef Kiko fit into this scheme?

He got along with Hannah.

Captain Sandy Yawn was looking to do anything to c’mon her mini-me this season.

And the fans were livid.

Especially as this opened the door for Chef Tom Checketts to arrive, causing the next domino of terror.

With Chef Kiko Lorran out and Chef Tom Checketts in, the dynamic below deck was about to shift.

In the past, it’s never been uncommon for partners to bunk together in the cabins.

And one of which would be Hannah being forced to room with Bugsy Drake.

It was shocking and still has fans debating whether it was fair.
